Haven't seen such topic so here it is. Let's start in short what I mean by patron gods :
1. Currently in storyline of the game, we meet with followers or characters associated with 4 main gods:
Ellora - goddess of light and life
Parna - goddess of water and ice
Nerhes - god of fire
Zelnaris - god of ruin and chaos
2. The patron god system allows you to choose one of the four to be your patron, and you'll receive permanent buff, depending on the choice. You can't change your decision.
3. To get a patron's blessing, you must build him an altar on your familiar farm (possible quest line for lvl 40+)
4. Each patron has it's own patron's blessing, but can give you another type of blessing, depending on the level of your altar (explained further).
Ok, now with more details. So, let's start from the blessings of each patron. Each patron's blessing grants you raw +5 all stats, and a buff that boosts something outside of combat.
Nerhes, as the god of fire and craftsmanship, increases your triumphant craft chance by 1%.
Parna, as the goddess of water, unlocks the treasures of the ocean , giving you +1% drop rate.
Zelnaris, as the powerful god of ruin, imbues the enhancement stones with his power, giving you +1% tempering chance.
Ellora, as the goddess of light and life, uses her divine authority to persuade familiars so that they will bound to your will, increasing your taming chance by 1%.
Now, further explanation of mentioned altar leveling:
After a certain quest in the mentioned quest chain, you have to choose which god will be your patron and from that moment you'll receive it's blessing, and then he/she orders you to build an altar on your familiar farm. When you build the altar, it will be level 1. From that time, you can do a quest chain with missions for your chosen patron, and thus unlock further altar levels (which you'll have to upgrade at the cost of materials, not only quests). The level of your altar determines, how many buffs you can have at the same time (the buffs from the altar will have a week duration and 24h cooldown, to get them you need to make a sacrifice - possible materials from repeatable or daily quests + little gold / elluns). The number of buffs depends on the level of altar, each level unlocks a new category and 2 sockets (you can use only one socket for each category). The categories are as follows :
Level 1: defensive sockets - overall def 3% or hp 2%
Level 2: offensive sockets - overall attack 3% or overall crit 1% + overall crit dmg 2%
Level 3: movement sockets - move speed 5% (mounted) or move speed 5% (unmounted)
Level 4: attack sockets - attack speed 8% or cast time 5%
Level 5: pvp sockets - pvp attack 3% or pvp resist 3%
The offering you give doesn't depend on the level of altar. Each time you make an offering, you may change your sockets. Hope everything is clear and you like the idea.
